Phosphofructokinase is an allosteric enzyme in the pathway that breaks down glucose to produce ATP. Regulation of glycolysis is
Norma-Jean [14]

Answer:

Phosphofructokinase will be activated

Explanation:

Phosphofructokinase (PFK-1) is an enzyme of glycolysis that catalyzes the phosphorylation of fructose 6-phosphate to fructose 1,6-bisphosphate. The enzyme uses ATP as a phosphate group donor for this phosphorylation. It is a regulatory enzyme and the reaction catalyzed by it is irreversible. The activity of PFK-1 is increased whenever the cell’s ATP supply is depleted or when the ATP breakdown products, ADP and AMP, are in excess.

PLEASE HELP ME FOR 100 POINTS AND BRAINLIEST!!!
dmitriy555 [2]

Answer:

When comparing homologous structures, we are comparing the anatomy of one part of an organism to another and finding it to be structurally similar but functionally may be different. Let’s compare a couple of tetrapods, specifically a human arm and a cat arm.

Both the human arm and the cat arm have a single bone in the upper arm, which we call the humerus, followed by two bones in the forearm–the radius on the more medial side and the ulna on the more lateral side. Both arms also have a common wrist structure followed by a grouping of metacarpals and phalanges. All of these structures are similar; however, these structures do not have the same function. Cats are quadrupeds that use their arms for walking and maybe a little climbing and hunting for outdoor cats. Humans, on the other hand, use their arms and hands for gross motor movement like grabbing, hugging, and lifting, as well as fine motor movement like using tools or even communicating.

A whale flipper and a bat wing are also homologous structures in the same sense as a human arm and cat arm with a humerus, radius and ulna, and so on. But the whale’s “arm” is actually a flipper that it uses to swim while the bat uses its wing to fly.

Convergent evolution is said to have occurred if the mouse species on two islands with similar habitats are found to have simila
sergiy2304 [10]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

When two or more distantly related species develop some structural or functional similarities since they are found in the same environmental conditions, the process is called convergent evolution. Here, the developed similarities may not be present in the ancestors of these species. For example, the presence of wings in birds (Aves) and bats (mammals) represents convergent evolution. Therefore, the presence of similar features in two different species of mouse due to similar habitat conditions represent convergent evolution.
