You would have to try on order to hurt yourself. Assuming you did the proper procedures Before and the specimen is fully in sight on the x and y axis and height is the only other thing to look at, then grab the fine adjustment knob ( the smaller coarse adjustment knob), and move it to the desired height. If the specimen starts to get blurry, turn the other way. This is a lot easier if your hand doesn’t move a lot when being held still

Answer:

To focus a microscope using a high power lens one should follow the following steps:

1. Place the slide containing the sample onto the stage

2. Turn the turret and fix the high power lens into its position

3. focus the slide from the eyepiece or objective lens.

4. adjust the stage and focus the slide with the focus knob.

The safety precaution one must be aware of is that while focusing the slide, one must turn the knob in a way that it should not crack the slide as it will add glass and dust to the lens.

Can you tell the difference between the original and the replicated strand
kati45 [8]

Answer:

Original strand is the old strand and replicated strand is new strand.

Explanation:

DNA is replicated by the semi-conservative way which means the new strand is replicated over the old strand and one DNA duplex has one new strand and one old strand. So the original strand is the old strand and the replicated strand is the strand that is synthesized over the original strand.

In DNA the replicated strand is made by adding nucleotides complementary to the opposite nucleotide present in the template or original strand. Adenine and thymine make complementary base pairing with each other and guanine and cytosine makes complementary base pairing with each other.
