Kennedy had two main strategies he used in order to help developing countries.

1) Peace Corps- This is a volunteer program in which American citizens go to third world countries in order to help. This help can come in a variety of different forms, including providing medical care and educational opportunities.

2) Alliance for Progress- This program helped to give financial and technical assistance to Latin American countries.
