The correct answers are A and D.

The Department of Education was created in 1980 and has 4,400 employees and a $68 billion budget.

The main goals of this department are :

- Establishing policies on federal financial aid for education, distributing and monitoring those funds.

- Collecting data on American schools.

- Focusing national attention on key educational issues.

- Prohibiting discrimination and enforcing equal access to education.

The Department of Education is not heavily involved in determining curricula or educational standards ( with the exception of the No Child Left Behind Act), this is left to state and local school districts. It does not establish school or colleges either.

Why might someone be wary about the necessary and proper clause?
Sergio [31]

Answer:

Necessary and Proper Clause is often called the “Elastic Clause” because it is believed to give Congress “implied powers” that government is assumed to possess without being mentioned in the Constitution. There is a problem with this view: a government that is able to expand its power through an “Elastic Clause” is more likely to abuse its power.

This was a major concern of the Anti-Federalists, who argued that the Necessary and Proper would greatly expand government and leave it up to Congress to decide whether a law was necessary and proper. The Anti-Federalists further argued that the clause left no limitation to federal power and that “ . . . if they may do it, it is pretty certain they will . . . .”

What discovery led to George B.McClellan's victory over Robert E.Lee at Antietam?
yKpoI14uk [10]
McClellan discovered General Robert E. Lee's battle plan.

Obviously, infiltration and access to battle plans allow for the opponent to figure out what their opponent's plans are, thus giving McClellan the victory at Antietam.

Hope this helps!
