In the book “The Republic,” Plato compares the act of ascending up out of the cave as the soul rising-up to the intellectual world.

The “Allegory of the Caves” is one of the famous passages of the book which gives an insight to the views of Plato about education and society. He says that the society is like a ‘cave’ in which the people live like a prisoner following the shadows. The caves also mean the boundaries which we ourselves make within ourselves. He suggests that it is through the correct way of education that one can rise and become an intellectual.

Sedbober [7]
First, divide 10 (amount of juice bottles) by 4 (amount of kids at red table) The answer should be 2.5, meaning each kid at the red table got 2 and a 1/2 bottles of juice.

next, multiply 6 (the amount of kids at the blue table) by 2.5 ( the amount of juice every kid should get). The answer should be 15.

So, there should be 15 bottles of juice given to the blue table.

Which two parts of this passage demonstrate the use of the bandwagon technique to persuade readers? Mother Nature Needs Your Hel
Stels [109]

One part is "Unless we start listening to Mother Nature and start taking care of our lush, green planet, our world as we know it will not be around much longer." It can make the reader seem worried for the planet because they live on it and it not being around much longer than where will they go? It makes them want to help for the sake of them selves. As well as "Every part of nature is being depleted by overuse and lack of care, and no one seems concerned." People don't want to be know as "the bad guys" so they want to start helping so they won't be put into the horrible people title.
