Isabella D'este was an important and very influential female figure in the Italian society in the late fifteenth century and early sixteenth century.

This powerful lady was of noble origin, more specifically, she was from the ''House of Este''. During her life she became a Marchesa of Mantua.

Isabella D'este had a very important cultural and political role in the Italian society during the period of the rebirth of the old values.
