Their complexions too, differing so much from ours, their long hair and the language they spoke (which was very different from a

ny I had ever heard) united to confirm in me this belief. Indeed such were the horrors of my views and fears at the moment that, if ten thousand worlds had been my own, I would have freely parted with them all to have exchanged my condition with that of the meanest slave in my own country. When I looked round the ship too and saw a large furnace or copper boiling and a multitude of black people of every description chained together, every one of their countenances expressing dejection and sorrow, I no longer doubted of my fate; and quite overpowered with horror and anguish, I fell motionless on the deck and fainted. Paraphrase the central idea. Paraphrase the supporting details.

This is an account by Olaudah Equiano, an Igbo abolitionist and writer who was enslaved as a child.

In this section, Equiano remembers how he felt when he arrived as a slave to the boat that was going to transport him. The central idea is that upon getting on the boat, seeing how different the captors looked and how the black people were chained, he realized what his fate was. This made him deeply scared and miserable and caused him to faint on the deck.

Which of the following statements is NOT true about literary and informational texts?
hram777 [196]

Answer:

Only informational texts are based on something true and fact-based

Explanation:

The option which says that only informational texts are based on something true and fact based is not true about the literary and the informational texts. This is because the literary texts can also give a lot of information on the facts. The style of the literary text is sort of narrative but it also can be true and contain facts. Both of the texts have the central idea and can use figurative languages to give the reader its true essence.
