Answer: In 1629, (B.) the city was destroyed by a great flood.

Explanation: In 1629, Mexico City was hit by a destructive flood. A heavy storm started on 21 September and lasted for almost 40 hours. As a result, most parts of the city were destroyed. In fact, the city remained flooded for five years. The only part of Mexico city that was not entirely affected by the flood was Tlateloco. Consequently, many families left the place. It is believed that almost 15,000 people moved to other cities.

How did the Nazi Party, a small and unpopular political group in 1920, become the
Anna35 [415]

Answer:

One of the factors that helped the Nazis rise to power was propaganda. The Nazis used propaganda throughout the late 1920’s and early 1930’s to boost Hitler’s image, and, as a result of this and other aspects, he became extremely popular. The Communist Party in Germany also argued that to end the Great Depression, Germany needed a government like the Soviet Union’s: the government should take over all German land and industry from capitalists, who were only interested in profits for themselves. Communists promised to distribute German wealth according to the common good. The Nazis blamed the Jews, Communists, liberals, and pacifists for the German economic crisis. They promised to restore Germany’s standing in the world and Germans’ pride in their nation as well as end the depression, campaigning with slogans such as “Work, Freedom, and Bread!”

Why did Alexis de Tocqueville travel to the United States?
Ber [7]

The main reason why Alexis de Tocqueville traveled to the united states was to observe American democracy in action, and to take note of what worked and what didn't, as many European countries were going through democratic revolutions of their own.
