maks197457 [2]
Stable isotopes refers to those isotopes that do not undergo radioactive decay. Oxygen atoms with atomic number of 16 and 18 are examples of stable isotopes. These isotopes of oxygen are usually found in substances such as polar ice and calcite. Whole brain death occurs when the ______ ceases to function.
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

Whole brain death occurs when the BRAINSTEM ceases to function.

Explanation:

In the US, whole brain death = legal death. Most people consider that a person is brain dead when the cerebrum, or the higher brain, is dead because the person is not able to think or have control over his/her body, but legally you are brain dead only when the brainstem ceases to function. The brainstem is responsible for keeping you alive and performing the most basic bodily functions like breathing and keeping your heart beating. But once it fails, you are legally dead. Even if your body could still survive using a ventilator and other devices, your brain has ceased to work and you wouldn't be able to survive if you were unplugged.

Does the scientific method steps always have to be in the same order? If not, why?
Ierofanga [76]

Answer: The steps may not always be completed in the same order. Following the four steps, the results of the experiment will either support the hypothesis or will not support the hypothesis. Scientists are always free to change or write a new hypothesis and start the four steps all over again.

I really hope that helps
