First off it's going to need to be in a moisture-filled environment, rainforests cant survive without humid damp situations, this is because the animals and plants need constant moisture for their "skins", but the benefits of having one could help a lot of endangered animals that are dying because of removal of trees and plants to fit houses and towns. . .

You can restore damaged ecosystems by planting trees on land where forests have been cut down. Or you can encourage people around you to live in ways that don't hurt the environment.

Q9. A SimCell has a special membrane that is permeable to alcohol but not to water. This SimCell contains 20% alcohol and 80% wa
Charra [1.4K]

Answer:

The SimCell will expand due to net movement of alcohol into the cell

Explanation:

Since the SimCell is only permeable to alcohol and not water, only alcohol can move in and out of the cell. Hence, if a SimCell that contains 20% alcohol and 0% water is placed in a solution containing 40% alcohol and 60% water, there would be a net movement of alcohol from the surrounding solution into the SimCell till equilibrium concentration of alcohol is established between the SimCell and the surrounding solution.

Therefore, the SimCell will expand due to the net movement of alcohol into the cell.

During the reproduction of a species of mice, a mutation occurs that makes the hair of The Offspring Blend into its environment.
Bas_tet [7]
This is a positive mutation, because the offspring will survive longer to reproduce. Their offspring will then carry the same genes passing it off to their offspring. The other color mice that did not blend into its environment will soon be extinct, leaving only the mice that can blend in.

Which of the following does natural selection act directly upon? Alleles, genes, individual organisms, or mutations?
Inga [223]

Natural selection act directly upon Alleles

Explanation:

Genes, such as that of fur color, have many variants called alleles. Natural selection act on the alleles and chooses the best fit for an environment and eliminates the disadvantageous ones from the population over generations. Mutations are a rare occurrence that increases the number of allelic variants of a genes on which natural selection can act upon.
