Answer:
Star-shaped
Explanation:
Nervous cells in our body are capable of generating, receiving, and sending electrical signals to different cells. It establishes a communicating system in our body apart from the endocrine system. Its function is very first. The units of the nervous system are the neurons. The neurons are 3 types according to their structure- multipolar neuron, bipolar neuron, and unipolar/ pseudounipolar neurons. The multipolar neurons have one cyton, one axon having many branching dendrites. These types of neurons are common and found in the brain.
The bipolar neurons have one cell body and one axon having one dendron. The bipolar neurons are found in the retina of the eye.
The unipolar or pseudounipolar neurons are bipolar during the embryonic stage and later it becomes unipolar neurons. It contains one axon which arises from cyton. The axon bifurcates to form the axon at one end and dendrites at the other end. This type of neurons is found in the dorsal root ganglia of the spinal cord.
Besides the neurons, another type of nerve cells is present in the nervous system known as glial cells. It is the support system of the nervous system and increases the efficiency of the neurons. They are also different types - astrocytes, oligodendrocytes, microglia, and satellite cells. The astrocytes are star-shaped nerve cells. It connects neurons and blood vessels.
