rocks can become soil in multiple different ways one could be primary succession which means some algae or moss grows onto rocks with out soil then they slowly gain moisture which attracts some other plants like flowers which then breaks down the rock into smaller things then grasses come in and turns it into soil.

Scientific names are understood by all scientists because the names are written in
Nuetrik [128]

Answer:

A. binomial system

B. According to taxon

Explanation:

A. The binomial system of nomenclature brings order to a chaotic world of common names. No two kinds of animals have the same binomial name, and every animal has only one correct name, as required by the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, thereby avoiding the confusion that common names cause.

B. Any grouping of animals that shares a particular set of characteristics forms an assemblage called a taxon. For example, a housefly (<u>Musca</u> <u>domestica</u>), although obviously unique, shares certain characteristics with other flies (the most important of these being a single pair of wings). Based on these similarities, all true flies form a logical, more inclusive taxon. Further, all true flies share certain characteristics with bees, butter-flies, and beetles. Thus, these animals form an even more inclusive taxon. They are all insects.

How can energy and matter be cycled without oxygen?
irina [24]

Producers, which are the base of the food chain for ecosystems are essential and do not require oxygen to cycle energy and matter, as they create oxygen through photosynthesis.  Plants are producers that use this process to capture light energy and use it to convert carbon dioxide and water into an organic substance known as glucose.
