Answer:

8

Step-by-step explanation:

3x +2x - 5 = 35 to rearrange makes it easier

then, add 3x and 2x which gives you 5x - 5 = 35

then using addition property of equality (APOE) add 5 to both sides which then cancels out the 5 on the left side of the equation and then add 5 to the right side which makes it 40. Then your equation looks like 5x = 40. then using division property of equality, divide by 5 on both sides and 40/5= 8!

9 + x - 3 = 4x - 3

Find x, please explain asap
Vesnalui [34]

Answer:

x = 3

Explanation:

To simplify this equation, don't worry about the -3, since there is one on both sides. Therefore, they cancel out.

So, 9 + x = 4x

When you plug 3 in for x, it becomes:

9 + 3 = 4 x 3

12 = 12

This equation is true, therefore, x is your answer!

Darian and Kyle went to the Cinema and purchased nachos and chocolates. Kyle purchased two nachos and one chocolate ,while Daria
quester [9]

The amount of money Kyle paid is $25.

Determine the price of nachos and chocolates

Two simultaneous equations can be derived from the question:

3n + 3c = $45 equation 1

n = 2c equation 2

Where:

 • n = price of nachos
 • c = price of chocolate

In order to determine the price of chocolates, please substitute for n in equation 1.

3(2c) + 3c = $45

6c + 3c = $45

9c = $45

c = $45/9 = $5

In order to determine the price of nachos, please substitute for c in equation 2:

n = 2($5)

n = $10

Amount Kyle paid

2($10) + $5

$20 + $5

= $25

Write an equation to find the missing side lenght. use ? for the number you do not know
Whitepunk [10]
There isn't enough information; however, let's say you were to find the missing side length of a rectangle. The perimeter is 52 and the two given side lengths are both 16. You would set up an equation to find the missing side lengths:
52 = 16 + 16 + ? + ?
52 = 32 + ? + ?
20 = ? + ?
Since this is a rectangle, the two other sides have to be equal. Therefore, you would divide the number by 2.
10 = ?
