We can go about this 2 ways - YOU can choose which way you find easier.

Way 1 ) Align each fraction next to each other and see what numbers go into each numerator and denominator - I'll show you what I mean :)

10/50                   4/20

2 can go into each number, so you'd find out how many times 2 goes into the numerators and denominators, then reduce it little by little.

5/25                     2/10

You keep repeating this process, but not with 2! You'd get a wrong answer! You constantly change numbers. And the same numbers are not used for both fractions all the time.

1/5                         1/5

Would you look at that! Your fractions WERE equivalent after all! But, if you'd like, you can use Way 2 below

Way 2 )

Divide each numerator by their denominator - I'll show you how

10 ÷ 50 = 0.2, or, 20%

4 ÷ 20 = 0.2, or, 20% also.

Look! Each answer is equivalent!

Now, this way is the way I like to do it, because it has fewer steps and is so easy! I hope this was very useful to you and I hope this helps! :D

Yes.

-- Take 10/50.

-- Divide numerator and denominator by 2.5 ,
   (Or multiply them by  0.4 .)

-- You now have  4/20 .

1 + {[0.5 x 12] x 3}

I'm not sure if that's a 1.000 or 1,000 so:

1,000 + {[(1,000 * .5) x 12] x 3}

1,000 + {[500 x 12] x 3}

1,000 + {6,000 x 3}

1,000 + 18,000

19,000

Find the measure of each angle
inessss [21]
Answer:

Find the measures of each angle.

When angles are complementary, the sum of their measures is 90 degrees. Two complementary angles have measures of 2x-10 degrees and 3x-10degrees.

For the hypothesis test H0: μ = 10 against H1: μ >10 and variance known, calculate the Pvalue for each of the following test
Basile [38]

Answer:

a) p_v =P(Z>2.05)=1-P(z

b) p_v =P(Z>-1.84)=1-P(z

c) p_v =P(Z>0.4)=1-P(z

Step-by-step explanation:

Some previous concepts

The p-value is the probability of obtaining the observed results of a test, assuming that the null hypothesis is correct.

A z-test for one mean "is a hypothesis test that attempts to make a claim about the population mean(μ)".

The null hypothesis attempts "to show that no variation exists between variables or that a single variable is no different than its mean"

The alternative hypothesis "is the hypothesis used in hypothesis testing that is contrary to the null hypothesis"

Hypothesis

Null hypothesis: \mu=10

Alternative hypothesis: \mu >10

If the random variable is distributed like this: X \sim N(\mu,\sigma)

We assume that the variance is known so the correct test to apply here is the z test to compare means, the statistic is given by the following formula:

z_o=\frac{\bar X -\mu}{\sigma}

Since we have the values for the statistic already calculated we can calculate the p value using the following formulas:

Part a

p_v =P(Z>2.05)=1-P(z

And in order to find the answer using excel we can use the following code:

"=1-NORM.DIST(2.05,0,1,TRUE)"

Part b

p_v =P(Z>-1.84)=1-P(z

And in order to find the answer using excel we can use the following code:

"=1-NORM.DIST(-1.84,0,1,TRUE)"

Part c

p_v =P(Z>0.4)=1-P(z

And in order to find the answer using excel we can use the following code:

"=1-NORM.DIST(0.4,0,1,TRUE)"

Conclusions

If we use a reference value for the significance, let's say \alpha=0.05. For part a the p_v so then we can reject the null hypothesis at this significance level.

For part b the p_v>\alpha so then we FAIL to reject the null hypothesis at this significance level.

For part c the p_v>\alpha so again we FAIL to reject the null hypothesis at this significance level.

PLS HELP! WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

  • The center (2, 2.5), radius \sqrt{37} / 2

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>The standard form of the equation of a circle is: </u>

  • ( x - h )^2 + ( y - k )^2 = r^2, where ( h, k ) is the center and r is the radius

<u>Rewrite the given equation in the standard form:</u>

  • 2x^2 + 2y^2 - 8x + 10y + 2 = 0
  • x^2 - 4x + y^2 + 5y = -1
  • x^2 - 4x + 2^2 + y^2 + 5y + (5/2)^2 = -1 + 4 + 25/4
  • (x - 2)^2 + (y + 2.5)^2 = 37/4

<u>The center is:</u>

  • (2, 2.5)

<u>And radius is:</u>

  • <u />\sqrt{37} / 2

This is hard for me I need help or my mom is going to be
Harrizon [31]
the answer should be letter A

the difference of 3.4 and 1.25 = 2.15

Now you know that there will be 2 whole blocks and .15 of a block

.15 is equal to 3/20 which is equal to 15/100.

So you will have 2 whole blocks and 15/100 of a blocks. So the answer is A
