Answer:

A dependent variable can be described as a variable which is under study and is dependent on the independent variable. As stalking is the variable which is understudy hence, the amount of stalking being done  will be the dependent variable.

Independent variable can be described as the variable which is not dependent and which can be changed by the researcher to check its outcomes on the dependent variable. The gender of the mental health practitioners will be the independent variable.
