Geography

In the period between 1941, the axis rule spread out over large territory. In Europe, the axis powers managed to invade all of Central Europe, all of Eastern Europe, the Balkans, France and Benelux, Denmark, Norway and Finland, as well as parts of the southern part of European Russia, and parts of the Caucasus. Not all of this territory was actually invaded as there were multiple collaborating countries, like Bulgaria, the newly formed Albania, the ustashi in Croatia, Finland, Hungary, Lithuania, which all helped a lot in the expansion of the axis rule.

In Asia, the third axis power, Japan, was also on the move, having put under its control part of Sakhalin, Manchuria, the Korean Peninsula, and Taiwan by 1941, with further expansion in the following year.
