So 1(1/3) turns into 4/3 because you multiply denominator by 1 the whole number then add 1 to that so its 4/3 × 5/8 the numerators multiply to 20 and denominators multiply to 24 so its 20/24 which simplifies to 10/12 then to 5/6

When the speed limit was 55 mph, Bob could cover 400 miles in a day's driving. After the speed limit went up to 70 mph, how far
Dmitry [639]

Answer:

See below

Step-by-step explanation:

The question is missing information:  " . . . how far would he go in an <u>???"</u>

<u></u>

If the question is how far he would go in a [Pick a despised car model} ?  The answer is still 400.  The car would break down.

If the question is how far would he go in the same amount of time:

Whe the speed limit was 55, it would take Bob (55 miles/hr)*(X hr) = 400 miles

X = 7.273 hours to go 400 miles at 55 mph.

A speed limit of 70 mph would allow Bob the go:

    (70 miles/hour)*(7.272 hours) = 509.1 miles

Korvikt [17]

MISSING DETAILS

Yoko's fish tank has 17 liters of water in it. She plans to add 5 liters per minute until the tank has at least 57 liters. What are the possible numbers of minutes Yoko could add water?

Answer:

Minutes = 8 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Topic: Inequality

Given:

Available Size of water = 17 liters

Increment = 5 liters/minute

Size of water needed = At least 57 liters

Putting the above together, as have

17 + 5m > 57

where m represents total minutes and > represent at least

Solving the Inequality

5m > 57 - 17

5m > 40 ------ Divide through by 5

5m/5 > 40/5

m > 8

So, Yoko will need to add water for at least 8 minutes before she fills her tank to 57 liters.
