Answer:

D) Organism Z is genetically closer to organism X than to organism Y.

Explanation:

According to the given dichotomous key, organism Y does not share any recent common ancestor with organisms Z and X. However organism Z and organism X are more closely related to each other as the most recent ancestor of organism Z, that is, "9" shares common ancestor with organism "X". The two organisms who are evolutionary closer to each other are more likely to share genetic similarities with than the distantly related organisms.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!One of the central themes in biology is how DNA, RNA, and proteins are related. Describe how genetic information
Anna007 [38]
<span>DNA contains the code for all an organism's protein. Since many of the organism's structures, processes, and growth depend on protein the DNA is central to the well being of all organisms. In eukaryotes, the DNA is locked up in the nucleus. The area of the cell where proteins are made is in the cytosol (ribosomes). In order for the protein to be made the DNA has to produce a copy of the blueprint m-RNA. This messenger RNA will take the code to the ribosome. The process by which m-RNA is made is called transcription. A-U, C-G base pairing rules. Once on the ribosome another RNA comes into play t-RNA. This is called transfer RNA. Here it will take an amino acid and place it in the correct order to produce the desired protein. This is called translation. It begins with a start co don AUG. and ends with a stop codon. The protein will then go to the Golgi apparatus and be formed into its final shape.

What would most likely happen if a person increased the amount of saturated fat in his or her diet?
Murrr4er [49]

Answer:

The person's risk of cardiovascular disease would increase.

Explanation:

saturated refers to all single bonds in the hydrocarbon chain, meaning no kinks in the chain. The hydrocarbon has the most number of carbons it can have, as there are all single bonds. If the hydrocarbon has even one less carbon, there would be kink, and it would be unsaturated and liquid. Our body needs less carbon, so unsaturated fats are better. But having saturated fats means no liquid, rather solid, which means harder for the blood to get to the heart. So your risk would cardiovascular disease would increase
