Do you know for sure that there's a vertical asymptote at x=2?

The last two limits should be 2 according to the range on the vertical axis (-6 to 6).

Ierofanga [76]

Answer:

x intercept is (-\frac{5}{3} , 0)

y intercept is (0,\frac{5}{2} )

Step-by-step explanation:

1.) turn the equation into slope intercept form, so...

When (3x+2y=5) then... y=-\frac{3x}{2} +\frac{5}{2}

2.)When finding the x-intercept, then plug y=0 and solve for x.

(0)= -\frac{3x}{2} +\frac{5}{2} \\(\frac{2}{3}) -\frac{5}{2} =-\frac{3x}{2} (\frac{2}{3} )\\-\frac{5}{3} =x

3.) When finding the y-intercept, plug x=0 and solve for x.

y=-\frac{3(0)}{2} +\frac{5}{2}

y=\frac{5}{2}

The length of a rectangle is 10 yards more than the width. If the perimeter is 68 yards, what are the length and width?
quester [9]

Divide the perimeter by 2, this will give you the sum of one length and one width.

68/2 = 34 yards

Now the length is  10 yards more, so subtract 10 from the 34 and divide by 2 again:

34 - 10 = 24

24 /2 = 12

The width is 12 yards.

The length is 12 + 10 = 22 yards.

Solve the following system using substitution or elimination. Make sure you express your answer as a coordinate point (x, y).
Nastasia [14]

Answer:

(-1,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

2(3x+5)+3x=1

6x+10+3x=1

9x+10=1

9x=-9

x=-1

y=3(-1)+5

y=-3+5

y=-2

In ΔSTU, the measure of ∠U=90°, TU = 6.6 feet, and US = 2.3 feet. Find the measure of ∠S to the nearest tenth of a degree.
zimovet [89]

Answer:

  70.8°

Step-by-step explanation:

The sides and angles are related in a right triangle such that ...

  Tan = Opposite/Adjacent

  tan(S) = UT/US = 6.6/2.3

The inverse tangent function is used to find the angle from its value:

  ∠S = arctan(6.6/23)

  ∠S ≈ 70.8°
