Other sources, refereed to as secondary sources, which can be used include: other Roman laws, legal articles written based on Justinian code and books that examined the effects of Justinian code on the society of that era. The secondary sources generally made use of information from the Justinian code.

2. According to the passage given above, the persons, who are declared by law to be worthless and incompetent to witness include: Women, slaves, children under the age of puberty, people with mental problems, deaf persons and prodigals. Other people who can not be witness include those who have given false witness in the past.  

A witness is a persons, who gives testimony in court cases in order to establish the truth of the case. The categories of person mentioned above are considered incompetent as witness under the Justinian code.
