I am really confused about what you are asking, but here goes...

Duden's opinion of the German Settlers in America ...

In America Germans would have it easy if they came to America. Farming was easier and you could own and work a very large plot of land very easily. Very little crime. They should learn English. Missouri is the best possible settling place for Germans because the climate was better than Brazil's and they could establish a German state possibly.

Hope that answers your questions and hope that helped you!!!

2. How did Carnegie Steel respond to the workers efforts to unionize?
Dafna1 [17]

Answer: He ordered to break the union

Explanation:

Aware of the contract between the union and Carnegie Steel was expiring on July 1, 1892, Andrew Carnegie ordered his operations manager, Frick, to dismantle the union. Frick´s reduced wages were rejected by the union, so the workers were locked out of the plant by Frick, and 3,800 workers were fired and 300 Pinkerton agents were hired to seize the plant. The union responded with the Homestead Strike, which sparkled a violent confrontation that had many Pinkerton agents as well as strikers killed or injured.
