Answer:

D She drowns, although the exact details of Ophelia’s death are still under debate.

Explanation:

Ophelia is a minor character, but by no means goes unnoticed in Shakespeare's work. Circumscribed by the patriarchal power, receives references of the father and the brother, and after his love Hamlet. It can not be said that Ophelia is naive, she is more the expression of love and loyalty. Possessor of submission and a contrasting desire, source of their conflict. It is tested at all times, and is reproved by the society for which it was appointed. While Hamlet pretends to go insane as part of his stubborn plan for revenge, Ophelia really goes wild, believing that Hamlet has lost his mind for her sake. And to de-deny his love by suggesting that he go to a convent or a brothel. Between the lines of Ophelia's hysterical delusion, it is possible to identify the nuances of what triggered her imbalance and, finally, death - that no one knows for sure if it was an accident or if Ophelia provoked the tragedy.

For that reason, the correct answer is that she drowns, although the exact details of the death of Ophelia are still in debate.
