The second amendment is important because it is the amendment that give United States citizens the right to “have and bear arms” or own guns.

The 2nd Amendment is the guarantee of our ability to change our government as per the Declaration of Independence if it should it ever become necessary (gods forbid). W/o the threat of armed insurrection, we believe, that the other rights enshrined in our Constitution would be completely at the mercy of our national government.
