Would you be likely to find a food chain containing 10 links? Why or why not?

It would be highly unlikely to discover a food chain containing 10 links.
This is mainly due to the loss of energy that occurs with transitions through the links in the chain. Almost 90 percent of the energy obtained at one trophic level is lost when being transmitted to the other trophic level ( link in the food chain).
This means that the 10th link in the chain would get so little energy consuming the 9th level organism that it wouldn't be enough to survive.
The 2nd link gets only 10% of the initial energy absorbed by the 1st link in the chain. If the chain is 10 links long, you would lose 90% with each link, leaving next to nothing for the last few links.

How does the mass of Venus compare to the mass of the Earth?
(Give Me A Paragraph)
tamaranim1 [39]
Both are similar in size, mass, density, and volume. However, during the last few years scientists have found that the kinship ends here. Venus is very different from Earth. It has no oceans and is surrounded by a heavy atmosphere composed mainly of carbon dioxide with virtually no water vapor. Its clouds are composed of sulfuric acid droplets. At the surface, the atmospheric pressure is 92 times that of the Earth's at sea-level.

Give three reasons how ionic and covalent bonds are different
andrezito [222]

Answer:

Hey

Explanation:

Covalent bonds and ionic bonds are two different ways of how elements bond to each other. The main difference between covalent and ionic bonds is that ionic bonds occur between two species which are electrostatically attracted towards each other, whereas covalent bonds occur covalently through the sharing of electrons between their outer shells.

Describe the passage of a meal containing bread through your digestive system
Alex777 [14]

Before your food passes from the mouth and down your esophagus, salivary amylase, an enzyme in saliva, begins to digest the starch in your bread. That is the start of chemical digestion. ... The passage of the bolus through the esophagus to the stomach occurs by peristalsis, a series of wave-like muscle contractions.
