One cause of the European immigration in the age of exploration was a potato famine in Ireland. Many Irish suffered and decided to move to america because we had potatoes. Potatoes originally came from America, and were introduced to Europe because of the Colombian Exchange. Many people especially Catholics thought they were evil.<span />
