Power of Executive Branch
1) Power over military orders
- the executive is the decision maker. Other than a few regulation rules that must be passed through Congress, the president, under advice from his staff, can order the military to do pretty much whatever he wants. This quick action and decision making, along with necessary discretion could not be achieved under another branch
2) Appoint federal employees
Very important power. It seems boring, but picking the people are are responsible for gathering vital information to make national and foreign decisions is crucial. If you pick the wrong person there could be chaos or misinformation. Moreover, you can pick people who are affiliated with your party, this having the power to further your agenda. It makes for this branch to run smoothly and gives them the power to make actual decisions.
