M = 1400*x - 8000   (3)

1400*x - 8000 - 1200*x = 2000

200*x = 10000

x = 50

M = 1400*50 - 8000 = 62000

Which properties of equality justify steps b and d?
Alik [6]
<span>3. Subtraction Property of Equality; Multiplication Property of Equality
Subtracting seven from both sides is the justification for step b to get rid of the positive seven on both sides. Multiplying by 2 on both sides to get rid of the fraction on the left side of the equation is the justification for step d.

Find the area of the shaded region. Round your answer to the nearest hundredth.
Lesechka [4]

Answer:

13.73 cm 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the whole square 8x8=64

area of 4 quarters of circle = area of  1 circle( with radius 4)

Area circle   pi  x radius squared

pi x 4squared = pi x  16 = 50.265482.......

Area shaded is the area of the square minus the area of the circle

64-50.265482.... = 13.734517.......
