1. p^{2} +2pq+q^{2} =1 where in a population:

p - the frequency of the A allele

q - the frequency of the a allele

p^{2} - the frequency of the AA homozygous genotype

q^{2} - the frequency of the aa homozygous genotype

2pq - the frequency of the Aa heterozygous genotype

A population at equilibrium will have the sum of all the alleles at the locus equal to 1.

2. Conditions:

A. The breeding population must be large

B. No natural selection

C. The mating must occur randomly

D. No mutations to cause changes in allelic frequency.

E. No changes in allelic frequency due to immigration or emigration.

3. By comparing the actual genetic structure of a population with what we would expect from a Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, we can determine how much it deviates from the baseline provided by the mathematical model. Depending on how large the deviation is, one or more of the model's assumptions are being violated. Thus, we can attempt to determine which one.

The Hardy-weinberg equation is P^2 + 2pq+q^2 =1. This equation is so important conceptually, because this proves that if you have a certian number of alleles and that nothing else happens to what you have with your Gene Pool, the next generation will have the outcome of your problem. Like if your outcome for both PP and Pp are 96%, then it should come out that way, unless as I said, the Gene Pool changes.

The Hardy- Weinberg equilibrium is that there must be

1: No mutations

2: A large population

3: random mating

4: no gene flow

5: and no selection or natural selection

I really hope this helps! Stay Curious! Bye!

A population of white-tailed deer inhabits a certain patch of forest in michigan. Which group of alleles can be considered the g
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

the dominant alleles of white-tailed deer in this population only!

Explanation:A group of individuals of the same species that interbreed with each other is known as a population. The study of change in genetics is called population genetics which includes genes and alleles.

Complete set of genes and their alleles that are present in a population is called gene pool. Gene pool includes both dominant and recessive alleles of every gene present in a population that can be transmitted in the next generation.

Population with high genetic pool has high diversity which increases the fitness of a population. As gene pool include all the genes and its allele in a population, therefore, the correct answer is all alleles of the white-tailed deer in this population only.

A mutation results in the production of much less dna ligase than normal. what would be a likely consequence?
ss7ja [257]
DNA ligase is the enzyme that repair irregularities and breaks in the back bone of double stranded DNA. The enzyme function by sealing the repair in the DNA, it seals recombination fragments and it connects okazaki fragments during replication of DNA.
If a mutation reduce the amount of ligase, all the functions of the ligase enzyme listed above will be affected negatively.

One feature that amphibians and humans have in common is
Ipatiy [6.2K]

Answer:

Both have two circuits for circulation.

Explanation:

 • The two circuits of circulations are known as the systemic circuit and the pulmonary circuit.
 • In the systemic circuit oxygenated blood from the heart is pumped to all parts of the body through the blood vessels and then the blood is pumped back to he heart.
 • In the pulmonary circuit deoxygenated blood from all parts of the body is pumped from the heart to the lungs to be oxygenated and after it is oxygenated it is pumped back to the heart.
