When reading the diary format of a story the writer of the diary is writing from his or her point of view, so you can easily understand how they feel and what they think.
Second person point of view uses pronouns such as 'you' and yours'. In this paragraph, the part where it says "<span>...until there was no longer any physical trace of you in the house" indicates this is second person point of view. :)
