Answer:

$560

Explanation:

As we know that the total cost would be a sum of fixed cost and the variable cost

In mathematically,

Total cost = Fixed cost + variable cost

But in the question, the variable cost is not given, so first, we have to find that based on high low method.

So, the variable cost equals to

= Change in total cost ÷ change in machine hours

= ($4,460 - $2,900) ÷ (6,000 - 3,600)

= $1,560 ÷ 2,400

= 0.65

Now the fixed cost equal to

= Total cost - variable cost

= $4,460 - (6,000 × 0.65)

= $4,460 - $3,900

= $560

g An automobile dealer expects to sell 529 cars a year. The cars cost $11,000 plus a fixed charge of $500 per delivery. If it co
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

Order size = 23 cars

The number of orders = 23

Explanation:

The economic order quantity (EOQ) is the order size that reduces the balance of holding and ordering cost. It is to be noted that at EOQ, the carrying cost is equal to the holding cost.

The EOQ is computed as shown below;

= √ 2 × Co × D)/Ch

Co = Ordering cost

D = Annual demand

Ch = Carrying cost

EOQ = √ 2 × 500 × 529 / 1,000

EOQ = 23

Number of cars to be ordered per time, I.e optimal order size = 23

Order size = 23 cars

2. The number of times orders should be placed per year would be calculated as;

Number of orders = Annual demand / Order size

Number of orders = 529 / 23

Number of orders = 23

If, in the long run, real GDP returns to its potential level, then in the long run, A. the Phillips curve represents a struc
Arada [10]

Answer:

C. the Phillips curve is vertical

Explanation:

Philips Curve shows the inverse relationship between inflation rate & unemployment level. High inflation rate implies low unemployment rate; and low inflation rate implies high inflation rates. Economic growth (output rise) leads to inflation & reduces unemployment ; Economic slowdown (output fall) leads to deflation & increases unemployment.

However; In long run, real GDP (output level) returns to its potential level. So; output level defining the inverse relationship (trade off) between inflation rate & unemployment level, is stable. Hence, inflation rate & unemployment level have no inverse (trade off) relationship & they are unrelated. Therefore, the long run Phillips curve is vertical.

What is a disadvantage of Maria's staying home with her children until the youngest is of school age?
Shkiper50 [21]

Explanation:

Maria may not be able to retire at an earlier age. This is because she sacrifices here years of employment by not being economically productive. Her husband has to meet the family expenses single-handedly through his income. Lot of money is spent on child care so they will not be able to save money for their retirement.

To take an early retirement one should have saved quite an amount of money. This will increase the working years for her and her husband.
