How were the Sisters of Charity funded?
ale4655 [162]

Many religious communities have the term Sisters of Charity as part of their name. While some Sisters of Charity communities refer to the Vincentian tradition, and in America to the tradition of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton those links are by no means universal. It is important to recognize that there may be no "family" or historical relationship between groups having the phrase Sisters of Charity as part of their name. The rule of Vincent de Paul for the Daughters of Charity has been adopted and adapted by at least sixty founders of religious institutes around the world in the subsequent centuries.

In Okin's view, the needs and interests of children must, unfortunately, be set aside in order to eradicate the gendered divisio
ikadub [295]

Answer:

False.

Explanation:

Okin never stated that children's needs and interests should be left aside in order to guarantee gender equality in working environments. What Okin talked about in relation to children, was that, in order to allow women to have the same opportunities and rewards as men in the labor sector, it was necessary to provide day care at work, or leave related to day care, so that mothers had places to leave their children supported. Okin also reported the importance of providing sex and gender education for children, so that they would grow up within the concepts of gender equality.

mrs_skeptik [129]

The correct answer is B) Between 1750 and 1755, the number of Africans living in slavery in Georgia increased.

The fact that provides the best evidence to support the conclusion that the end of the trustee period also marked the end of colonies' attempts to ban slavery from approximately 500 to 18,000.

In 1730, James Oglethorpe created the trustees to found the Georgia colony, the last of the 13 colonies in America. Families received land to farm, creating new opportunities for poor English people that decided to travel to Georgia. Rich people that bought more land hired indentured servants. Trustees banned slavery but this came to an end when trustees ended, increasing the number of slaves from approximately 500 to 18,000.

The other options of the question were A) BY 1800, as many as 20 million slaves captured along the western coast of Africa had been shipped to the Americas. C) the majority of slaves that were shipped to the Georgia colony were from Senegal, Ghan, and Sierra Leone. D) to meet the need for cheap labor, many Georgia landowners used indentured servants that agreed to work for anyone willing to pat their way to the colony.
