Answer: 10 cosec (62°)

Step-by-step explanation:

The given triangle in the problem is a right triangle. This means that we can use SohCahToa to solve for the length of our hypotenuse (Line A to C).

** SohCahToa is a way for you to memorize special trigonometric functions that can be used:

Soh - Sin = Opposite / Hypotenuse

Cah - Cos = Adjacent / Hypotenuse

Toa - Tan = Opposite / Adjacent **

For this triangle, we can use the angle, 62°, to determine the hypotenuse. We will use x to represent the value between A and C. If you examine the sides of the triangle, you'll see that the side opposite of our angle is 10.

Because we have values that are located opposite to the angle and on the hypotenuse, we will use Sin(θ) = Opposite / Hypotenuse.

** θ represents your angle **

Sin(θ) = 10 / x

We want x by itself so you'll need to multiply x to both sides and then divide by sin(θ). This should give you the following: x = 10 / sin(θ)

Being that 1 / sin(θ) = cosec(θ), you can substitute 1 / sin (θ) for cosec(θ).

This would give you x = opposite •

cosec(θ) which is the same as x = 10 cosec (62°).

I apologize if I didn't explain that clearly enough :/ I hope it helps you out a lil bit though!

Nataliya [291]
Use substitution and substitute y into the other equation. One of the equations already gives you y in terms of x, so use that and substitute it into the other equation. y = 3x - 4

Plug into the other equation: -3y = -9x + 12
-3(3x-4) = -9x + 12
-9x + 12 = -9x + 12
This is an identity. So that means that any value of x makes this equation true. So B.

Select all irrational numbers. 1/8 1/2 1/4 1/10 1/16
ludmilkaskok [199]
None of them are irrational, the definition of an irrational number is a number that cannot be simplified, converted to a fraction, or has no pattern to it or is never ending. For example, a pi is an irrational number because it is never ending and has no pattern to it. Another example would be 0.21411446741354...  irrational because it has no pattern to it and cannot be converted to a fraction.

Find the slope of the line please help
Ne4ueva [31]

Answer:

0

Step-by-step explanation:

Plug 2 points into the equation y2-y1/x2-x1. In this case, I picked (0,-1) and (1,-1). This will make the equation -1--1/1-0. Simplify this to get 0/1 which is equal to 0. Therefore, the slope is 0.
