The sites of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro are two of the largest cities that have been found as belonging to the Indus Valley civilization. This civilization existed during the Bronze Age in South Asia, and along with ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, it is considered one of the earliest civilizations in history. The civilization flourished along the Indus River, in what is now areas of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India.
