A similarity between Henry VIII and Martin Luther was that both formed new denominations that spread throughout Europe. were Eur
seropon [69]

The right answer is that both "were excommunicated from the Catholic Church for their actions".

Henry VIII was married to Catherine of Aragon, but he wanted to be separated from her and therefore made a request to divorce the church. The reason for the request was that his wife did not give him a man child, a situation that made it impossible for the Englishman to leave a descendant of himself in his place on the throne of England. Of Catherine's six children, only Princess Maria survived. The interest of Henry VIII was to marry Anne Boleyn, a lady of the court of England, and with her to have a son who would succeed him. As the Pope's request was not accepted, the English king declared his divorce from the Queen through a national court in 1533. A year later, Henry VIII was excommunicated by Clement VI.

Martin Luther wrote 95 theses criticizing some actions of the catholic church that spread by the European catholic world. In just two weeks, theses were translated into German and widely copied and printed. In such a way, in that period, it spread throughout the region of Germany and, in the next two months, conquered much of Europe. Although the Pope had not been questioned directly by Martin Luther's 95 Theses, nor as to authority or indulgences, the response was severe and rapid. Luther was called a drunken German who was not aware of what he wrote for the Supreme Pontiff of the Catholic Church. And the Pope continued to press, demanding that Martin Luther withdraw his writings in 1520. Luther refused to annul his writings and was excommunicated in 1521 and came to be regarded as an outlaw by Emperor Charles I of Spain.

Why do you think delegates to the Constitutional convention might have had a difficult time deciding how to choose the president
kvv77 [185]

Answer and Explanation:

The format for choosing the president and vice president was a very challenging one for the delegates to the constitutional convention because of the following opposing views that were expressed by different delegates:

1. Some delegates supported the notion that the president and vice be chosen by the legislature. On Other hand, other delegates who supported direct election, argued that if the president and vice were to be chosen by the legislature, then the president would have an unfair opportunity or advantage to serve more than one term if the president would work and act to please the legislators; in fact, the delegates felt that the president would concentrate more on the legislature, rather than on carrying out presidential responsibilities.

2. Other delegates who opposed direct election felt that the president would likely come from one of the most populous states, and the general public would not have sufficient knowledge of various presidential candidates in order to make a wise choice.

3. Still yet there were some delegates who believed that if the president and vice were to be chosen in the nation’s capital, it would be influenced by foreign governments, special interests, and political factions. However, if they were to be selected in home states, it would be difficult for electors to conspire to buy or sell votes.
