Plays are divided into acts. Depending on the story the number of acts can be two, six or even more. The time of an act can be from thirty to ninety minutes. But it can also be very short, for example fifteen minutes. Acts are also used for give theatregoers and actors the break. Acts are divided into scenes. A. Acts

To make it easier for the sake of reading and performing, plays were divided up into sections called Acts. However, each act was comprised of several scenes that consisted of various settings, the interaction of characters in the play and the flow of the narrative of the play. There might not be a continuation between two scenes, however, the lines spoken by the actors have to be maintained in a way so that there is a pattern of continuation throughout the play. Plays are usually the transformation and adaption of prose and poetry for the sake of performance on stage.

Further Explanation:

The significance of dividing them into acts and scenes is for the purpose of ease of direction and performance. The order of the play may be in the manner as beginning with a significant event focusing on the background of the main character and the other characters, following by the main events of the play, leading to the climax.

It has to be understood that Acts might contain settings over several places within its scenes. Since a play has to be enacted, different events might be required to be performed simultaneously within one Act. It also has to be noted that the narrative circulates around the main themes of the play, and is expressed throughout the events of the play. The order of events has to be arranged sequentially so that the element of continuation is expressed throughout the play. The other supporting elements of a play are the continuation of the narrative through the verbal or nonverbal exchanges between the characters, and the background of the play provided by the presentation of the scene-setting.

Were Romeo and Juliet really in love?
CaHeK987 [17]

Answer:

Even though theirs is a violent love, Romeo and Juliet are, indeed, truly in love because they risk their lives for this love, and they commit themselves to certain acts. Romantic love is the theme of Shakespeare's play

Explanation:

Meeting Juliet and finding that she is amenable to his advances helps him to move on from Rosaline. On the other hand, Juliet loves Romeo because she feels pressure from her parents to marry. They have an instant attraction, and when a person is young and impressionable, this is sometimes all it takes to spark love.
