What are some similar things that Hindus and Buddhist share over reincarnation?

Both Hindus and Buddhists see reincarnation as a form of punishment. (In the west, we tend to view it as another opportunity to get Rich, experience pleasure, etc. Not true for Hindus and Buddhists.) Both Hindus and Buddhists aim to escape the cycle of reincarnation.
