Answer:

y=5x+2/3

Step-by-step explanation:

if y is negative you put that first equaling -5x because you are subtracting -2/3

seeing as the y has to be positive in the equation therefore you must multiply the whole equation by a negative in order to get the y to be postitive.

part B)

well, to graph a LINEar equation, since it's just a LINE, you simply need two points to graph a line, and since we know that y - x = 48.... if you want to know what's "y" when x = 7? or 7 hours, well

y - (7) = 48
y = 48 + 7
y = 55

so.. that's the point for the 7th hour, 7, 55, and you can pick any other point above, and graph it away.

The largest possible circle is cut out of a square whose side length is 8 feet. What will be the approximate area, in square fee
BabaBlast [244]

Answer:

13.76ft²

Step-by-step explanation:

Side of square: d=8ft

Area of board: Sb=d×d=64ft²

Area of circle: Sc=pi×r²=pi×(d/2)²=pi×d²/4=pi×64/4= 16×pi=50.24ft²

Remainin area: Sb-Sc=64-50.24=13.76ft²
