The argument that james made in the speech is:B. Kings are God's representatives on earth and should not be challenged.

Take a look at this part of the excerpt:

. . .for kings are not only God's lieutenants upon earth and sit upon God's throne. . .

From this line, we can infer that James see king as some one that given a direct authority from God to rule on his behalf. He wanted to showcase the difference in status between Kings and common people so he can justify the misbehavior that conducted by the Kings.

Which was an effect of improved agricultural technology in georgia following world war ii?
bulgar [2K]

The demand for agricultural labor declined. The New Deal programs supplied jobs in cities. Electricity had become very costly in rural areas. Agriculture has become much less worthwhile withinside the state.

What was the condition of Georgia post-WW II?

From 1945 to 1970, numerous elements prompted Georgia's growth. The shift from rural agrarianism to manufacturing facility jobs after World War II led to large city populations.

Atlanta advanced right into a recognizable city because of the jobs of influential mayors William B. Hartsfield and Ivan Allen Jr.

Hence, the larger population of rural areas of Georgia moved to urban areas.

Three arguments against agricultural subsidies
Mademuasel [1]
Agricultural subsidies are supposed to lower food prices and help farmers. However, they don't always do either. Moreover, lower food prices and more farmers have their own social costs.

The truth is that all across the world farmers are getting more efficient and can grow and harvest more crops with fewer people. That isn't about to change any time soon, and there's very little government can do about it.

There are several ways you can go about subsidizing agriculture, for example:
Direct cash payments to farmersQuotas and production controlsLabor lawsTax creditsProviding water and electricity at reduced pricesAnd so forth.

The problem is that, as time goes on, everyone gets used to the system and it gets out of whack with actual demand. For example, tobacco use has been steadily dropping, but tobacco farmers still get subsidies (either to grow or not to grow) and the Western nations grow tobacco to export (along with the health detriment, which is now hitting Africa and China).

As another example, corn is cheap, but the U.S. produces about five times as much now as it did in 1940, although the population has only doubled. As such, a lot of it is just fed to livestock. More problematically, a lot of it is exported to Mexico, where corn can be grown more cheaply, but can't be sold against subsidized American corn, which costs less.

Here in Canada, there is a quota system for dairy which means we don't produce much surplus. However, at retail, milk cost about twice here what it does in the U.S. We can't figure out how to dismantle the system so at least milk will cost about the same as it does in other countries. Trying to dismantle the system might be more expensive than leaving it in place. It might also mean more milk is produced than is consumed, which would again push the market out of whack.

Which statements best describe how the Cold War was fought? Check all that apply.
Nesterboy [21]

Answer:

The correct answers are:

1. Spies were used to uncover national secrets.

3. Competition took place outside of warfare.

4. Proxy wars were supported around the world.

Explanation:

The cold war involved a thousands of spies from both the US and it's allies and the Soviet Union and their allies. Many of these were able to infiltrate deep into each other's government to find national secrets.

Competition in the cold war took place outside of military and warfare. This included the education, technology and global soft power. The most famous example of this is the space race between the US and the Soviet Union which the US eventually won by being the first country to send a man on the moon.

Both countries were nuclear powers and never fought a direct war. However, they did fight numerous proxy wars all over the world, including Vietnam, Afghanistan, Cambodia, South America etc.
