There are various features which allow for the fitness of an organism and its ability to survive and reproduce in the environment. One such feature is the coat or fur colour. An ideal coat colour like that of a rock pocket mouse will help it to camouflage with rocks and hence help it to escape from predators. As a result, the mouse will be able to live and reproduce which depicts there overall fitness for the environment.
