For finding x:
We want to use tangent because tangent is opposite/adjacent
tan (30)= x/15
Multiply both sides of the equation by 15 to isolate x
Now we have, (15)(tan 30) = x
Simply plug the above equation into your calculator and you should get x=8.66

For y:
We know the angle opposite side y is= 90˚ (it is marked as a right angle)
We are going to use cosine because cosine is adjacent/hypotenuse
So, cos(90)= 15/y
Multiply by y
(y)(cos 90)=15
Now use simple algebra
cos (90) = 0
Y x 0 =15
y=15

Hope this helps. By the way, I am a little rusty on this topic so I am not 100% sure that this is right (I'm 98% sure).

Which of the following best describes an irrational number?
Furkat [3]

Answer:

Option D is correct.

D- A number that cannot be expressed as a fraction, , where p and q are integers

Step-by-step explanation:

Irrational number:

An irrational number can not be expressed as a fraction or ratio of  integers, like \frac{p}{q} where p and q are integers

And also it can not be expressed as terminating decimal or repeating decimal

Example of the irrational number is given below.

\sqrt{8}= 2.82842

\pi = 3.14285..

\sqrt{3}= 2.82842

Therefore option D (A number that cannot be expressed as a fraction, , where p and q are integers) is correct .

lora16 [44]
Here, First two number represents Product of first two numbers in L.H.S.
For example, 5 * 3 = 15
Or 9 * 2 = 18

Now, second two numbers represent product of 1st & 3rd number,
For example, 5 * 2 = 10
Or 9 * 4 = 36

Now, Last two numbers represent Sum of 4 digit-number minus middle number.

So, 7 + 2 + 5 = 143547

In short, Your Final Answer would be: 143547

Hope this helps!
