This act forced the people of the colonies to provide housing and shelter to the British army’s whenever required. The Coercive act on the other hand was a series of acts passed by the British parliament in response to the Boston tea Party.

On August 12, Spain and the United States agreed to an armistice; on September 13, the Protocol of Peace was ratified; and on December 10, the Treaty of Paris was signed, ending the Spanish-American War.
