False. The missionaries of charity is still active up to this point. Though in 1990 due to declining health, Mother Teresa asked to resign as head of the missionaries, only to be voted back in as Superior General; and six months before her death, on March 13, she was eventually replaced by Sister Mary Nirmala Joshi, to be succeeded by Sister Mary Prema during a meeting held on 2009.
The heads of this missionary have changed, but it never became defunct during her death.
