The length of midpoint connected size is half of the size of the triangle that it's parallel to. that's means lengh of sizes are half of the original.

area of triangle with known side a, b, c
s = (a+b+c)/2
area = sqrt(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c))

area of midpoint triangle wih side a/2, b/2, c/2
s' = (a/2+b/2+c/2)/2 = (a+b+c)/4 = s/4
area' = sqrt(s'(s'-a/2)(s'-b/2)(s'-c/2))
= sqrt(s/2(s/2-a/2)(s/2-b/2)(s/2-c/2))
= (1/4)sqrt(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)) = (1/4)area

answer is 1/4

Yup. the x axis is the base and the y axis is the height, so it’s right.

Answer:  The correct answer is:  [B]:

____________________________________

                  →   " \frac{11}{6} " .

____________________________________________

Explanation:

We are asked to solve:   |2/3-3/2|3^2-17/3  ;

Let's rewrite this problem as:

____________________________________________

Simplify:

 "  | \frac{2}{3} - \frac{3}{2} | * 3^{2} - \frac{17}{3} |  " ;

Find the height <br> 11in 14in<br> h=
jeka57 [31]

Answer:

h = \sqrt{72}in

Step-by-step explanation:

We have a right triangle with long side of 11in and smaller sides 14in/2=7in and h.

We know that

h^2 + (7in)^2 = (11in)^2\\h^2 = 121in^2 - 49in^2 = 72in^2\\h = \sqrt{72}in

A company wants to decrease their energy use by 10%. If their electric bill is currently $1,900 a month, what will their bill be
NemiM [27]

Answer:

A. $1,710

B. Yes, probably.

Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming that a 10% decrease in energy use leads to a 10% decrease in the electric bill:

We'll want to find the value which is 10% less than the original value, i.e., the bill cost which is 90% of the original bill.

90% = 0.9

Since the original bill was $1900, we can just multiply 1900 by 0.9:

1900*0.9=1710

Answer: A bill of $1,710 would equal a 10% decrease.

Since $1,672 is less than that, then they have decreased their energy use by more than 10% which is likely a success.

Answer: Yes, probably.

What is the common difference for the sequence shown below?
Nezavi [6.7K]

we can always find the slope of any line by simply using two points on the line, say let's  use (3,4) and (-1,2)

\bf (\stackrel{x_1}{3}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{4})\qquad (\stackrel{x_2}{-1}~,~\stackrel{y_2}{2}) \\\\\\ slope = m\implies \cfrac{\stackrel{rise}{ y_2- y_1}}{\stackrel{run}{ x_2- x_1}}\implies \cfrac{2-4}{-1-3}\implies \cfrac{-2}{-4}\implies \stackrel{\stackrel{\textit{common difference}}{\downarrow }}{\cfrac{1}{2}}
