Answer:

Explanation:

The government of the Byzantine Empire was held by the emperor. He ( and sometimes "She") was the absolute monarch, commander in chief of the army and also head of the Church.

As head of the Church, the emperor could appoint or dismiss the most important ecclesiastical role in the empire, the Patriarch or bishop of Constantinople. Plus, the emperor was regarded as having been chosen by God to rule for the good of the people.

What led to the scramble for Africa?
monitta

Based on my knowledge, the scramble for Africa was largely because the industrial revolution was springing up all over the world in largely European countries and they were at a point where resources were running out. Gold and other valuable metals were discovered in Africa as well as timber. The surplus of resources in Africa made it very valuable to these industrial countries so they all made a huge "scramble" to Africa. Also, the idea of merchantilism, the idea that the amount of land a country owned defined its wealth, was still very popular so these countries wanted to make a huge land grab.

- Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire
lara [203]

Answer:

On March 25, 1911, the Triangle Shirtwaist Company factory in New York City burned, killing 145 workers. The deaths were largely preventable–most of the victims died as a result of neglected safety features and locked doors within the factory building. The tragedy brought widespread attention to the dangerous sweatshop conditions of factories, and led to the development of a series of laws and regulations that better protected the safety of workers.

Why was the 3rd amendment needed about 200 years ago? Think about why it was included in the bill of rights.
Ainat [17]

Third Amendment from the Constitution ✍️: "No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law".

The British passed laws called Quartering Acts that allowed their soldiers to live in their homes of the colonists without their consent. This was because the Quartering Acts using a quid pro quo argument (a favor granted or expected in return for something/you do something for me I do something for you), saying that since British soldiers protected the colonists, they should be able to have housing, by the colonist. The practice continued during the Revolutionary War when British soldiers could take over the home of a colonist and demand housing and food. After the war, the colonists wanted to make sure that the new government could not do this again by adding the Third Amendment.

Hope this helps, have a BLESSED and wonderful day, as well as a safe one! Also, hope your having a good 2020 ٩(◕‿◕。)۶
