The equation for surface area is 2(lw+lh+wh) or length times width plus length times height plus width times height times 2.

so in this problem legth=5 and width=4.5 so 5×4.5=22.5

length=5 height=3.5 so 5×3.5=17.5

width=4.5 height=3.5 so 4.5×3.5=15.75

add these together and you get 55.75.

now we multiply that by 2 so 55.75×2=111.5

so the surface area of the gift is (drumroll please) 111.5

What is the value of x to the nearest degree?<br><br> 48 <br> 42 <br> 84 <br> 24
Cerrena [4.2K]

Answer:

The value of the angle x is 48°.

Step-by-step explanation:

Base of the triangle = 10

Height of the triangle = 11

\tanx =\frac{Height}{Base}

\tanx =\frac{11}{10}=1.1

x =\tan^{-1}1.1=47.7263^o\approx 48^o

The value of the angle x to the nearest degree is 48°.
