The Scientific Method, which is the process by which scientific knowledge is acquired through exposing ideas as hypothesis, testing them multiple times and then reaching results and conclusions, has several steps that must be met. The first step is hypothesizing, which is literally producing a question, or a statement, on a specific topic of research. The second step is the experimentation itself, which means testing the statement through quantitative and qualitative techniques. Afterwards, comes the collection of data and analysis of said data and from it, a thesis, or hypothesis is proven, or disproven. If a thesis is proven, or disproven, further research may be done, following the sames steps, to continue proving or disproving a certain statement. However, when a hypothesis has been tested over and over again and data is compiled from multiple research that proves a thesis, this thesis may be advanced into theory, which is literally defined as knowledge that may be applied in one or different fields of study and may guide future and further research and learning fields that has been acquired through the multiple testing and refinement of the knowledge acquired through this testing.
