Answer:

a = 60

60°, 60°, 120°, and 120°

Step-by-step explanation:

So we know that the sum of the angle measures of the quadrilateral is 360° and that the four angle measures are a, 2a, a, and 2a. This means that the sum of a, 2a, a, and 2a should equal 360.

a + 2a + a + 2a = 360

Combine like terms.

6a = 360

Divide both sides by 6.

a = 60

So the value of a would be 60.

Now to find the angle measures from least to greatest, we would have to find the values of a, 2a, a, and 2a.

a = 60

2a = 120

a = 60

2a = 120

So the angle measures from least to greatest is 60°, 60°, 120°, and 120°.

I hope you find my answer and explanation to be helpful. Happy studying.

Answer:

a=60 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Total angle measurements=360 so

2a+2a+a+a=360

2(60)+2(60)=240

240+60+60=360

----------------------------

So a=60

Gail has $7,500 that she wants to put in a new savings account. She is
ElenaW [278]

Easy answer, Neighborhood Bank. But to see how:

$7,500 * 0.015 (1.5%) = $112.50

$112.50 a day times 360 days = $40,500

$40,500 times 20 = $810,000.

$810k times 20 = $16,200,000. (16.2mil)

$112.50 times 20 = $2,250.

Exponential functions have the form f(x)=b^x. What type of an exponential function would you have (increasing or decreasing) if
adoni [48]

Answer:

Increasing

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's see what happens if we choose a value for b greater than 1.

Let's try b=2.

f(x)=2^x.

I'm going to keep increasing x. If y increases, the the function is increasing. If y decreases, the function is decreasing.

Let's start with x=1.

y=2^1=2

Now x=2.

y=2^2=4

The y's got higher as you increased x so the function is increasing.

There are 13 people on the city bus. At the first stop, four people get off and to get on. At the Second stop, six people get of
antiseptic1488 [7]

Answer:

9 people should get on stop 1.

Step-by-step explanation:

If i understood it correctly .

13 people on bus initially.

at first stop - 4 people get off . So 9 people should be on bus.

But few get in bus ( that is what is asked in the question - but it is not super clear to me)

after 2nd stop - there are 12 people on bus.

at 2nd stop  6 people got off.. so there were total of 18 on the bus

So if there were 9 people on bus stop by stop 1 .. so 9 people should have got in bus at stop 1 to make it equal to 18.

Only doubt i have is  : if the question is asking how many got on the 2nd stop.  also i was not clear what does this line means - At the first stop, four people get off and to get on.

The Rocky Mountain News (January 24, 1994) indicated that the 20-year mean snowfall in the Denver/Boulder region is 28.76 inches
ycow [4]

Answer:

The p-value of the test is 0.0007 < 0.05, indicating that the the snowfall for the 1993-1994 winters was higher than the previous 20-year average.

Step-by-step explanation:

20-year mean snowfall in the Denver/Boulder region is 28.76 inches. Test if the snowfall for the 1993-1994 winters has higher than the previous 20-year average.

At the null hypothesis, we test if the average was the same, that is, of 28.76 inches. So

H_0: \mu = 28.76

At the alternate hypothesis, we test if the average incresaed, that is, it was higher than 28.76 inches. So

H_1: \mu > 28.76

The test statistic is:

z = \frac{X - \mu}{\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}}

In which X is the sample mean, \mu is the value tested at the null hypothesis, \sigma is the standard deviation and n is the size of the sample.

28.76 is tested at the null hypothesis:

This means that \mu = 28.76

Standard deviation of 7.5 inches. However, for the winter of 1993-1994, the average snowfall for a sample of 32 different locations was 33 inches.

This means that \sigma = 7.5, X = 33, n = 32.

Value of the test statistic:

z = \frac{X - \mu}{\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}}

z = \frac{33 - 28.76}{\frac{7.5}{\sqrt{32}}}

z = 3.2

P-value of the test and decision:

The p-value of the test is the probability of finding a sample mean above 33, which is 1 subtracted by the p-value of z = 3.2. In this question, we consider the standard level \alpha = 0.05.

Looking at the z-table, z = 3.2 has a p-value of 0.9993.

1 - 0.9993 = 0.0007

The p-value of the test is 0.0007 < 0.05, indicating that the the snowfall for the 1993-1994 winters was higher than the previous 20-year average.
