A company rents out 15 food booths and 20 game booths at the country fair. The fee for a food booth is $100 plus $5 per day. The
Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

So the required expression is $(150 + 12d)

Step-by-step explanation:

Total Food booths rented = 15

Total game booths rented = 20

Fixed one day food booth Price = $100

Per day price of food booth = $5

Fixed one day game booth Price = $50

Per day price of game booth = $7

Total No of days = d

To write an expression the company paid for  both in dollars

As we have got the no of days

So Company paid Money for d days for food booth = Total days * price per day

                                                                              = d * $ 5

                                                                              =$ 5 d

So Company paid Money for d days for game booth = Total days * price per day

                                                                              = d * $ 7

                                                                              =$ 7 d

Total Paid for food booth = Fixed price + D days Price

                                          = $ 100 + $ 5d

Total Paid for game booth = Fixed price + D days Price

                                          = $ 50 + $ 7d

Total Company Paid = Total Paid for food booth + Total Paid for game booth

putting in the values gives us

Total Company Paid = $(100 + 5d) + $(50 +7d)

Adding the similar terms gives

Total Company Paid = $(100 + 50) + $(5d +7d)

Total Company Paid = $(150 + 12d)

So the required expression is $(150 + 12d)

There were 30 cookies in a jar. Eileen divided the cookies into 12 equal shares. How many cookies were there in each share?
Sedbober [7]
The answer is 2.5 cookies also known as 2 and 1/2 Because 12 can go into 30, twice , which gives us 24 and 30-24= 6 so we put a decimal point to the right of 2 and we put a 0 and bring the zero down to make 60. 12 goes into 60, 5 times so the answer is 2 1/2 or 2.5
