Biology

Explanation:

The cells of multicellular organisms are interdependent, and like the members of a successful baseball team, they work together.In baseball, players take on a particular role, such as pitcher, catcher, infielder, or outfielder. Messages and signals are sent and understood by teammates and coaches to play the game effectively.

Cells in a multicellular organism work the same way. The cells of multicellular organisms become specialized for particular tasks and communicate with one another in order to maintain homeostasis.

<em>Further Explanation:</em>

<em><u>1. The model outlines each cell’s specific role, related to their function such as a pitcher, catcher, infielder, or outfielder etc.</u></em>

The structures of cellular organelles are related to their functions: The structures of cellular organelles are related to their functions. Their structural components (i.e. their makeup) determine their function (what they do). In specific cell types, collected proteins may function as a unit called an organelle.

In all eukaryotic cells mitochondria are small cellular organelles bound by double membranes make most of the chemical energy required for powering the biochemical reactions within the cell. this chemical energy is stored within the molecule ATP which is produced

Some organelles are bound by membranes like those that make up the external structure of the cell, with varying compositions of phospholipids and proteins. These are advantageous, as they

  • may increase metabolic reaction efficiency;
  • they allow cells to concentrate smaller fractions of enzymes and solutes separate proteins and molecules that may harm the cells by parceling them into membrane-bound organelles
  • <u>for example, hydrolytic enzymes within vacuoles may degrade macromolecules like DNA and RNA within the cytoplasm.</u>

<em><u>2. The model shows that cells are interdependent, they must communicate, or work together to fulfill a goal...</u></em>

Cells sharing a similar origin, group together in the body to form tissues; these typically share physical features and are arranged in regular patterns. They are interdependent, and work together like a team as tissue, within the human body these can generally be placed into four groups:

  • epithelial which refers to sheets of cells covering exterior surfaces and internal organs;
  • connective tissue which functions to bind cells and organs together while protecting, supporting and integrating different regions.
  • muscle tissue which responds to simulation, allowing for movement and locomotion;
  • nervous tissue which responds to electrical impulses, allowing for communication between different regions of the body

<em><u>3. The model places the coach as the brain or control center, where it regulates all activities related to homeostasis, just like a baseball game…</u></em>

The nervous system is subdivided into; the central nervous system (CNS), which includes the brain and spinal cord, within the vertebral column; and the peripheral nervous system, which includes nerves that branch into the rest of the body from the brain and spinal cord. Nervous tissue responds to electrical impulses, allowing for communication between different regions of the body.

The peripheral nervous system is further divided into the somatic nervous system responsible for carrying out sensory and motor information between the peripheral nervous system- including sensory organs like the eyes; and central nervous system; and the autonomic nervous system (ANS) which regulates involuntary bodily functions like heartbeat, breathing and blood flow. The ANS is mainly acts unconsciously and affects smooth muscle and internal organs. It is related to homeostasis- where the body maintains a constant internal balance in pH, temperature, blood pressure etc.

zepelin [54]
The results from the research suggest that a person who experiences auditory hallucinations that are localized in the expressive area of the brain is actually listening to his or her own thoughts. Since the problem is in the expressive area, this shows that the patient is only listening to the ideas his brain is already producing.

What is photosynthesis?
patriot [66]

Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize foods from carbon dioxide and water. Photosynthesis in plants generally involves the green pigment chlorophyll and generates oxygen as a byproduct.

yan [13]
The offspring did not have white fur due to the fact that white fur is a recessive trait. One parent had brown fur, which is a dominant trait, that cancels out the recessive trait and that is why the offspring did not have white fur.
