Answer:

\large \boxed{\$1200.00}

Step-by-step explanation:

              Let the office charge  = x

     Amount paid by Medicare = ⅞x

Amount paid by Ross = ¼(⅞x) = $262.50

Solve for x

\begin{array}{rcrl}\dfrac{1}{4} \left(\dfrac{7}{8}x \right ) & = & \$262.50 & \\\dfrac{7}{32}x & = & \$262.50 & \text{Multiplied the fractions}\\\\7x & = & \$8400.00 & \text{Multiplied each side by 32}\\x & = & \mathbf{\$1200.00} & \text{Divided each side by 7}\\\end{array}\\\text{The office wanted to charge } \large \boxed{\mathbf{\$1200.00}}

Check:

\begin{array}{rcl}\dfrac{1}{4} \left(\dfrac{7}{8}\times \$1200.00 \right ) & = & \$262.50\\\\\dfrac{1}{4} \left(\$1050.00 \right ) & = & \$262.50\\\\\$262.50 & = & \$262.50\\\end{array}

OK.

Angle A= ? <br> HELP HELP HELP
vazorg [7]

Answer:

A = 41.41

Step-by-step explanation:

Since this is a right angle, we can use trig functions

cos A = adjacent/ hypotenuse

Cos A = 6/8

Taking the inverse cos of each side

cos ^ -1 ( cos A) = cos ^-1 ( 6/8)

A =41.40962211

Rounding to the nearest hundredth

A = 41.41

SUPER URGENT!!!!!!!! I NEED HELP!!!!!1 PLSSSS!!!!!Use the linear combination method to solve the system of equations. Explain ea
Vedmedyk [2.9K]

Answer:

x=-3,y=-2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given 2 expressions

S1:3x-8y=7

S2:x+2y=-7

Write one equation in terms of any variable (x or y)

Here I am writing S1 in terms of y

3x-8y=7\\3x-7=8y\\y=\frac{3x-7}{8}

Substitute this value of y as the value of y in S2

⇒x+2y=-7\\x+(\frac{3x-7}{8} )\times2=-7\\8x+6x-14=-56\\14x=-42\\x=-3

Therefore x=-3

Substitute this value of x in any of the expressions S1 or S2

Here i am substituting in S2

⇒x+2y=-7\\-3+2y=-7\\2y=(-7+3)\\2y=-4\\y=-2

Therefore x=-3 and y=-2

YO PLZ HELP!! MARKING BRAINIEST!!
Yuliya22 [10]

Answer:

x = 26, 16

Step-by-step explanation:

( x-21) ^2 = 25

Take the square root of each side

sqrt(( x-21) ^2) = ±sqrt(25)

x-21 = ±5

Add 21 to each side

x-21+21 = 21±5

x = 21±5

x = 21+5  and x = 21-5

x = 26, 16
